ViewThroughALense.co.uk is the personal photoblog of Phil Robinson, founder of RobinsonDesign. This is a simple, WordPress-driven website that makes use of a custom theme, designed from scratch specifically for this website.
The interface design for this website was of particular importance, as many blogs are viewed by a truly huge variety of devices including televisions, mobile phones, tablets, laptops and more. The launch of the ViewThroughALense website coincided with the rapidly increasing popularity of the iPad, it was decided that the user interface design for this website should be optimised for iPad viewers.
Successful photographers always want as many people as possible to see their photos and have the opportunity to share their thoughts. The addition of Facebook and Twitter to the existing WordPress comment system maximises the interaction between photographer and viewer, hopefully increasing word-of-mouth recommendations as well as providing an opportunity to receive valuable critique.
